LUMERA LAB / LEGAL

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Lumera Lab handles information when you use our AI photo and video app, website, and support services.

1. Who we are

Lumera Lab is operated by Andreas Pappas, Greece. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

2. Information involved in the service

3. Why information is processed

Information is used to generate and deliver your creations, display history, operate credits and rewards, remember preferences, respond to support requests, send enabled notifications, diagnose errors, and help maintain service reliability and security.

Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may rely on providing the service you request, your consent, legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as maintaining and securing the service. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it; this does not affect processing already carried out.

4. Photo and AI processing

When you request a creation, the app sends your chosen photo, style selection, and related request information to the Lumera Lab backend over an HTTPS connection. The service processes this information to produce the image or video you requested and return its status and result to the app.

Photos containing faces. A photo may contain a face, facial features, or other information about you or another person. Such content is part of the photo submitted for the requested transformation. Choose what you upload carefully, and obtain the necessary permission before submitting another person’s image.

Uploading a photo for a creation does not grant permission to publish it on this website or use it as a marketing testimonial. If you save or share a result, you choose the destination using the available app and device features.

5. Service providers and disclosures

Infrastructure, hosting, media delivery, analytics, notification, and support services may process information needed to perform their functions. The mobile app includes Amplitude for analytics and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. Their use depends on the app build, settings, and the relevant feature.

Relevant provider information: Amplitude Privacy Notice and Firebase Privacy and Security. Contact us if you need further information about the processing associated with your use of Lumera Lab, including AI processing services.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or where necessary to protect lawful rights, address misuse, or respond to a valid legal request.

6. Storage and deletion

The app stores identifiers, language and consent preferences on your device and may cache media. Generation history is retrieved from the backend so you can access your creations in the app.

Retention depends on the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed, including providing generation history, responding to support requests, and meeting applicable legal or security requirements. This policy does not specify a fixed automatic deletion deadline for all photos and results.

You can delete individual creations using the app’s deletion feature. Deletion from your visible history is distinct from removal of copies that may exist in caches, backups, or other processing systems. For a request concerning all personal information associated with your use, email [email protected]. Include your app user identifier if available, so we can locate the relevant information. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law and explain any applicable exceptions.

7. Your choices and rights

You choose which photos to upload and can manage camera, photo-library, and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Denying permissions may limit relevant features. Deleting the app removes app-local information according to iOS behavior but does not automatically request deletion of server-side information.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal information, object to relevant processing, and withdraw consent. Contact us with your request and, where useful, your app user identifier. We may need to verify that the request relates to your information. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority, including the Hellenic Data Protection Authority in Greece.

8. International processing and security

Service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where applicable data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those requirements apply to the transfer. Contact us for information about processing locations and safeguards relevant to your data.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Avoid uploading sensitive documents or photos you do not have permission to use.

9. Children and photos of other people

The service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. Upload photos of other people only with the permissions and rights needed for the intended processing and use.

10. This website

This landing page does not contain a signup form or client-side advertising or analytics code. Hosting and network providers may process technical request data. An email link opens your email application; information you send is used to respond to your message.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this policy to reflect service changes. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Contact: Andreas Pappas, Greece — [email protected].
